Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

We did the board & train package for our 1yr old great dane in December. Best decision we could make. We are so pleased with the outcome and will absolutely board again when we need to. This was our dogs 1st time boarding so I was nervous to leave her so long, but she was loved and cared for so well. The facility is super clean and only a small number of dogs are taken so the attention to maintenance is 100%. Sara did a fantastic job training and we are impressed with the results. We received daily pictures/videos of her progress and play time and messages on how she was doing. Would not hesitate to recommend Ducktown Lodge!

If I could give ten stars I would. Lucinda and her crew take amazing care of the animals they board. We have a rescue Great Pyrenees who we are very cautious how we board him as he tends to be a “runner.” We met with Lucinda for the meet and greet and immediately fell in love with Ducktown and the care they give the dogs. Couper’s week stay was perfect, and we didn’t worry one minute about his safety. Their facilities are spotless, the play yard is extremely secured and we got daily pictures and video updates of our boy having the time of his life. It means the world to us to know we have a place he is safe and feels loved when we are gone. The communication, attention to detail and care they give is truly unmatched.

We had such a great experience with Ducktown. Our 2.5-year-old pit mix did the Board and Train program with Sara to work on leash manners and overall obedience. Sara and Lucinda kept us in the loop the entire time with lots of pictures, videos, and updates, which we really appreciated. We’ve only had our dog back for a few days, but the change has already been huge. He was already a great dog, but this training really helped set him up for success when we’re out and about. When we picked him up, Sara made sure we felt confident moving forward. She walked us through everything, gave us a really helpful take-home packet, and showed us how to properly reinforce all the hard work our pup put in over the two weeks. We’re so thankful for the care and effort their staff put into our dog and would absolutely recommend them!

We can’t say enough good things about this amazing place! Sara went above and beyond to train our sweet Dakota. Sara’s knowledge on puppy training is phenomenal. Our puppy is a whole new dog! Lucinda was unbelievably sweet calling and checking in throughout the two weeks, and giving me lots of beneficial advice. I can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for a loving, safe environment to train your dog, run to Ducktown Lodge!

I chose Ducktown Lodge because they were a small and quiet setting for my 12-year-old chihuahua mix and my 8-year-old chihuahua rescue who had no teeth. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Lucinda and her staff are. Mishka and Oliver were boarded for two weeks at Ducktown Lodge. Any worries I had were immediately gone after I received daily videos and updates about how my fur babies were doing. In the beginning of their stay Oliver was not eating so Lucinda did everything she could to make sure he ate, including hand feeding him! They treated my little fur babies like family, and I am forever grateful to them. I highly recommend Ducktown Lodge and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank-you Lucinda. :)
